About Chad McDonald
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Chad McDonald has been playing and performing live since his teenage years in Michigan, New York City, and now Tampa Bay.
His Irish great grandparents immigrated to the United States from Galway, Ballinasloe, and Mullingar. His Scottish roots on the McDonald side of his family trace back to the Highlands and Hebridean islands.
Chad is a performer and storyteller aiming to share the rich Irish/Celtic/Gaelic musical tradition with each performance. With a focus on entertaining and playing to the crowd in from of him, Chad can play both traditional Irish and Scottish tunes as well as modern classics to keep the show vibrant and engaging.
